NPMA’s Pestology was created with the pest management professional in mind. The pest control industry is driven by science, but often the newest scientific discoveries are not easily digestible and not communicated to the end user (you!). With that in mind, we three entomologists set off to read all of the latest pest management scientific articles and then translate them into plain english. Hopefully, we can make it a little fun along the way with pest control tips sprinkled in with science!

Meet the Entomologists: Brittany Campbell, Mike Bentley, and Jim Fredericks
We are three PhD entomologists that work at the National Pest Management Association with a passion for urban entomology and a healthy dose of humor. Brittany and Mike both graduated from the University of Florida, studying bed bugs and ants, respectively. Jim is a termite specialist and received his PhD from the University of Delaware.
The National Pest Management Association (NPMA) is non-profit organization with nearly 5,000 members from around the world and was established in 1933 to support the pest management industry’s commitment to the protection of public health, food and property. This commitment is reflected both in the continuing education of pest management professionals and the dissemination of timely information to homeowners and businesses.
